spring clean

I had an unseasonal Spring clean of my studio last week - much was chucked, taken to the charity shop, burnt. I'm left with a much cleaner, emptier space which feels good.

My lovely hand stitched pin cushion above is from a fellow Etsy seller. You'll find her shop Le Samovar here.

galerie l'horlogerie à Limogne

I have some work at l'Horlogerie until the end of July. It's a lovely space run by our friend Marie who used to work with us at the Tower. You'll find work by Patrick Laroche and Guy Magosse as well as beautiful ceramics and, unusually for French galleries you can have a cup of coffee while you look!

king's mill hopsital

Just been listening to Ptolemy Mann on Woman's Hour talking about, amongst other things, her commission for the facade of King's Mill Hospital in Nottingham.

You can see more images here - it looks absolutely stunning. The brief was to reduce 'threshold anxiety' for people coming to the hospital and I would imagine it goes some way towards achieving that. It was done about 10 years ago and it would be interesting to see how it is weathering.
